| Of all my poems, I am most proud of this one. Maybe it is because apples assist in the solving of crime. |

OfficiallyThe funneled waters and sudsy asphalt trails converge around my pebble-splintered feet.Officially
The grime-turned-metal wheels roll through the lot and money shuffles in and out of pruny hands.
High-fives weave around spraying droplets as God sends us cookies and donuts.
Markers color our nostrils; giddy from the fumes, we wring out green bandanas and fling them on the roof.
Smiles stretch, connect, and spread,
and clothing follows their example.
Heaven, thy name is Car Wash.

Its funny how
a touch can make a day; a smile or hug says more thananything.
Even funnier, how theses dont last quite as long
God put a deeper meaning in here somewhere, and maybe we knew it
all along.

Love at first sight is certainly possible.
Love of a stance or particular glance (and, to be clichéd, his love of the dance)
love for his eyes, his captivating lies (and, to be consistent, his family ties).
Certainly! Love at first sight is quite possible
just depends:
what love?

Where sorrow meet a silver resolution,
Where sunshine's gentle and refrains its rays,
Where there is no darkness--only shadow--
That is where I wish to spend my days.

"My little old man and I fell out;
I'll tell you what 'twas all about,--
I had money and he had none,
And that's the way the noise begun."

"Look at me still talking when theres science to do
When I look out there it makes me glad Im not you
Ive experiments to run, there is research to be done
On the people who are still alive"
Thank you!

Just wondered if you know about the haikuthon? It's only just begun and it'd be cool to see you take part. You can find out information about it at Iscariot-priest's journal (he's hosting it) [link]
and you can see practically all of the collections so far here:

Well, it's definitely not too late to join so if you fancy it then give it a crack. And if you do, please let me know so I can take a look at your work

"She stood there, half way between the orient and here. Bitter white clouds lingered and then went, capturing the splash of yellow that the sun bathed our faces in."

I still fancy haiku, and want to thank you for opening my eyes a little regarding them.
I've been going through my days seeing little glimpses of haiku in regular life, and it has brought me great pleasure.
As far as writing them down goes, I haven't been doing much of that because this summer has been so busy that it has been driving me nearly crazy. But I'm all right now.
But I just wanted to thank you for having a hand in opening this new literary door for me.
(And the winner of the haiku-thon? That was a delicious mental image.)
