I'll tell you what 'twas all about,--
I had money and he had none,

When I look out there it makes me glad I’m not you

Hi ihedge, how are you?

Just wondered if you know about the haikuthon? It's only just begun and it'd be cool to see you take part. You can find out information about it at Iscariot-priest's journal (he's hosting it) [link]

and you can see practically all of the collections so far here:

Well, it's definitely not too late to join so if you fancy it then give it a crack. And if you do, please let me know so I can take a look at your work :)

"She stood there, half way between the orient and here. Bitter white clouds lingered and then went, capturing the splash of yellow that the sun bathed our faces in."

Hey! By the time I received your message, the haikuthon was over (to my partial regret--seeing the winners immediately is always fun).

I still fancy haiku, and want to thank you for opening my eyes a little regarding them.

I've been going through my days seeing little glimpses of haiku in regular life, and it has brought me great pleasure.

As far as writing them down goes, I haven't been doing much of that because this summer has been so busy that it has been driving me nearly crazy. But I'm all right now. :)

But I just wanted to thank you for having a hand in opening this new literary door for me.

(And the winner of the haiku-thon? That was a delicious mental image.)
